HOW WE WORK

Bringing Producers to the Swedish Consumer

As part of Tegnér Spirits & Wine, one of Sweden’s
fastest-growing import groups, we offer both stability and strength. Through our parent company, we gain access to an established market presence, shared resources, and a nationwide organization — without losing the personal touch and flexibility of a smaller, dedicated importer.

Through Tegnér & Sons’ professional sales team, we reach the HoReCa market across the entire country. Together with shared finance, logistics, and customer support, we ensure efficient processes and a seamless flow from producer to end consumer.

Direct Access to Sweden’s Most Important Sales Channels

We help our producers navigate the two key pathways into the Swedish market:

On-trade – restaurants, hotels, and bars
Systembolaget – the state-owned monopoly controlling retail alcohol sales

Systembolaget offers several routes for product launches. We guide our producers through the right channel and optimize each opportunity.

FS

Fixed Assortment

Four times a year, Systembolaget publishes launch plans. Products are evaluated through blind tasting. Selected wines typically receive a 9–12 month listing, with the possibility of extension based on strong sales.

TSV

Temporary Assortment – Volume

Primarily for premium wines, often above €15. Wines are blind-tasted, but buyers have greater freedom to choose reputable or award-winning producers. Usually a one-time order — but successful launches may be repeated.

TSE

Temporary Assortment – Exclusive

Small volumes of high-quality wines are selected directly by buyers for each country at Systembolaget, without a tender process. Provides both visibility and prestige.

The Vision Behind The Grape Society

Behind The Grape Society is Ulrika Ferlin — a trained sommelier and expert in Italian wines, driven by a deep passion for food, culture, and wine tradition. She divides her time between Italy and Sweden, giving her both unique insight into Italian wine heritage and a close connection to the Swedish market.

Ulrika has a solid background in the restaurant industry, with experience from some of Stockholm’s most renowned establishments. In 2013, she won the Lily Bollinger Award and was named Sweden’s Best Female Sommelier. Following this achievement, she moved to Italy and began working at one of the country’s most prestigious wineries. As Hospitality Manager and later Export Manager, she developed an innovative hospitality program that became a benchmark for visitor experiences in the region.

In addition to running The Grape Society, Ulrika is a sought-after speaker in both Italy and Sweden and collaborates regularly with various Italian consortia. She is a certified WSET Educator, Langhe Wines Ambassador, Valpolicella Wine Specialist, and Piemonte Ambassador for The Star Wine List.
